AIR app crashes on opening twitter.com in HTML control

Question

My AIR application crashes everytime I navigate to http://www.twitter.com in the HTML control (mx.controls.HTML). The app usually crashes after the page has fully loaded.

Till now I've encountered this problem only with the twitter website. I have confirmed that it's a bug in the AIR/webkit runtime rather than my own code by opening the twitter page in a simple air app that contains just an html control. Have also confirmed the crash in WebKut (http://toki-woki.net/p/WebKut/) which is also an air app.

I hope that this bug is known and that a fix will be available soon.

AIR runtime version: 2.7.0.19530

Webkit dll version: 6531.9.0.0

Flex SDK: 3.5

AIR SDK: 2.6

Windows XP Professional SP2

Intel Core2Duo 4400 @ 2.00 GHz

2GB RAM

Thanks for the report. I was also able to reproduce this against 2.7, but it appears to be fixed in our latest labs release (AIR 3.0) which you can grab here:
