AIR game on Steam/OSX - Build app with -mmacosx-version-min=10.5 or newer

Hi, we are porting a game to be released on Steam but we are getting the following error while preparing the OSX version to upload:

Fatal: App built with 10.6+ SDK, but compiled with -mmacosx-version-min=10.4 or older.

Please rebuild the app with -mmacosx-version-min=10.5 or newer

I guess this is caused because of the compiler flags used by the Adobe AIR packager while building the OSX native installer... Does anyone know how to change this flag? Any solutions?

Thanks

It looks like that's our answer too. Seems like the only workaround is to disable the Steam automated DRM wrapper when running contentprep.

I also get this error in the log file, but I can't use your suggestion, as the app doesn't compile for me

In particular, this was an issue with the SteamWorks "contentprep" tool. We had to run it from the command-line as a post-build step, like:

python steampipe/ContentPrep.app/Contents/MacOS/contentprep.py --console --verbose --source original/Game.app --dest prepared/ --appid <our app id> --nowrap

The most important part is the "--nowrap" option, which disables contentprep from trying to add Steam's DRM to the app binary.

I'm curious to know if this was ever solved. We're running into the same error right now.

We simply ignored the problem and uploaded the build anyway... It worked and we didn't face any issues related to it
