AIR only installs 1.0

Recently I tried to run an AIR app, to which an error message popped up and said that the needed version of AIR was not installed, and that I could find it at http://www.adobe.com/go/getair. I went to said website and it said that the latest version of AIR was already installed, so I retried running the app and I get the same message, so i unistalled and reinstalled AIR and the same problem occoured. I had a look at the version of AIR that i had and the folder said 1.0, yet when i go to Control Panel it says 3.7, any idea what the problem could be? I've included logs if they're of any aid.
