The folder you downloaded is most like named “air4_sdk_mac”, or something ver similar to that. Inside are these files and folders:

AIR SDK license.pdf

AIR SDK Readme.txt

air-sdk-description.xml

airsdk.xml

ant

asdoc

bin

frameworks

include

lib

runtimes

samples

templates

In Flash you would choose the air4_sdk_mac folder. It can be located in your downloads folder, no need to move it into the Flash Pro CS6 folder.

In other words, you select the folder that was created when you decompressed the file that you downloaded.

Go to the Help menu in CS6 and choose Manage Adobe AIR SDKs. In there you can add the AIR 4 that you downloaded, and then you should see it appear in the properties panel, along with the AIR 3.8 that you already have.
