[ANE] Prevent activity onDestroy to be called when app resumes

I have an ANE that creates an activity on top of the main one.

For some reason, this activity will call onDestroy if I minimize the app and relaunch it.

Is there a way to prevent this?

I tried a native app and it is not behaving like this, so it makes me think it might be an Air thing.
