Any thoughts about developing HEIC-to-JPG converter?

In my cross-platform app (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac), some iOS users are telling me that since Apple changed the default picture-taking to store files in HEIC format, my app is no longer working. I know I can tell my customers to switch the default, but I am looking ahead to possible solutions. I don't know if there is a native conversion tool in the iOS AV Framework, but I assume there has to be something. Has anyone found/thought of a satisfactory solution? I was thinking of it didn't make it into an AIR class, maybe someone could develop an ANE?
