APIInternalError - Deploying to device AIR 28

Question

Apache Flex 4.16, Adobe AIR 28 (version 28.0.0.125)

I am testing two Apache Flex apps using the latest AIR release in Flash builder 4.7, Mac OS Sierra. I can deploy to the iOS simulator using the iOS 11.2 SDK without any issues. When deploying/debugging to a physical device (testing with iPhone 7) I am getting the following error.

Error occurred while installing the application:

Installation Error: APIInternalError.

I was having this same problem. I solved it by re-exporting my iPhone developer certificate from KeyChain Access. It is of course the same cert uploaded to the Apple dev site, and is also associated with the mobileprovision file.
