Question

apk-captive-runtime in FlashBuilder 4.5?

I have been searching the internet for a solution to this - how do I create an Android APK in FlashBuilder without using the command line tool? I would like to know how to do this not only for a release build but also for testing on a connected dev device. I am guessing that if this is possible it requires building an ant script and adding it under Builders in the FB Project settings. Any more information would be appreciated - as would a link to a walkthrough.

Yes, using Ant or other external build tool is necessary until Flash Builder is updated to support the feature. These tools just run the command-line tools, of course.

You could start with this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS2db454920e96a9e51e63e3d11c0bf678b2-7ffc.html

Thank you. I can see that I have a bit of reading to do. I've found a few references on how to set up the ANT task, but one thing that I can't find info on is how to add this to the FB project.

I found the Builders section of the project properties, and I can see where you would add the ANT task, but would this be a replacement for the Flex and AIR items in the Builders list already, or would it be added at the end?

I'm not an expert on Flash Builder by a long shot, but they do have their own forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash_builder.
