Stage3D does use openGL on MAC: Stage3D - Wikipedia

I can only assume it does the same on Ios. This might mean a migration for Stage3D on MAC and Ios will be needed and this might be a big one, the scope of which might test the commitment of Adobe toward its AIR platform .... We will see.

deprecated does not mean blocked or removed

it just means there will be no more updates or new features  added to it


also deprecated in macOs 10.14 and iOS 12 means dev have at least 2 versions

to move to something else in case it actually get removed later

at the very worst it could be removed in macOS 10.16 and iOS 14
