Application error

Question

Hi,I'm a player of League of Legends and when I try to play it an application error comes up. When I went to the Reliability Monitor of my Windows 7, found out that it's an error regarding Adobe Air (source: Adobe AIR Debug Launcher). Also I cannot reinstall Adobe AIR because when I try to run the setup another application error comes up (image below). Same issue happens when I try to install the Microsoft NET.Framework. Also below there is the log file of the Adobe AIR installation. LoL uses an internal version of AIR, so installing the latest version won't actually help. Instead you might want to try the following steps. I've heard reports that AIR 3.5 helps resolve the problem.

If you decide to do this, please post back and let us know how it works out for you as we're in the process of investigating these issues.

1. Download the AIR 3.5 "captive" runtime found here: https://sendnow.acrobat.com/?i=6B6K1U7kWVxc4Da9fw2WeA

2. Extract the contents

3. Next we need to locate your Adobe AIR folder within LoL. On my system, this is: D:\Games\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.0.229\deploy

4. Make a backup of the Adobe AIR folder within \deploy

5. Copy the extracted Adobe AIR folder (done in step 2) and overwrite the LoL version of Adobe AIR (that you backed up in the previous step). It should prompt you to replace at least 10 files.

6. Launch LoL and try to reproduce the crash

To address the issue of the AIR installer crashing, this is definitely not a normal situation. Since this is also occurring with your .net install, I'd recommend creating a new, temporary, user account (admin level) and trying to install from there. Once installed, AIR should be available to all users accounts.
