autoCorrect property not working for TextInput

I am using autoCorrect property in Flex Mobile application on iOS device. But it is not getting applied. Any idea what might be the reason?

That would work for StageText, but not for a regular Input textfield.

Yes, that works but if I put that Stage Text in a scroller, on scrolling the container, the text positioning is not in sync with the textinput and it floats outside.
