Bad performance playing sound on iPad

Hi!

I am developing a story for kids, which has big illustrations. I even animate some pages and use large definition background to support also the Retina display.

In general, the performance of the app falls when I try it on iPad 3 and iPad 2. iPad 4 runs fine.

However, the performance goes really bad when I play a background music, using the Sound class.

Any suggestions?
