Billing through provider

Hi

Does anyone know about the option for customers to pay for app downloads through their network provider?

A potential customer of mine has asked why they cannot add the purchase to their T-Mobile bill (as opposed to setting up a Google Checkout account).  They were told by T-Mobile that this option is set by the app developer - is that right?

I'm not aware of this option but presumably it would enable more people to buy.  Any info?

Thanks

I suspect that this is something you

can set up in your market account with Google.

Hey Joe

Thanks for the reply - I had pretty much given up hope of a reply!

Don't suppose you can expand on this a little?  I don't see anything of that nature in my account.  Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

I don't have an account with Google, so I can't be more specific. The only references to direct carrier billing I found were vague, but implied that the app developer had to allow it since it was likely to delay payment. That makes it sound like an opt-in setting, not a technical, per-app setting. There is a developer forum for the Google Market. I suggest you post this query there (and let us know the answer when you find out).

Thanks.
