Can AIR use the IOS Significant-Change Location Service?

There seems to be no discussion on this topic what so ever so far as I can tell...

Does anyone know if this can be used in AIR?

AIR Runtime doesnt directly use the significant-change location service, but the regular one.

Though, you may write a native extension to use it.

There is no searchable information on AIR / AS3 / ANE implementing the IOS Significant change service.

Possibly AIR via Native Extension cannot do this? Perhaps from some structural limitation of AIR?

If someone has done this before with an ANE, enlighten us.
