Can't find AIR for Android runtime

So, I've set up my Viewsonic gTablet to work with the SDK and adb (after hours of painstaking driver installations) and everything seems to be going smooth with development, up until I go to launch it on my android device.

It tells me I need the AIR for Android runtime, so I click okay to the install, and it takes me to the market where it says "The requested item could not be found". It seems like it was pulled from the market or something. And I can't find any downloads of it anywhere.

The same thing happens with any other AIR for Android applications I've downloaded today

Does anyone have a link to where I could find the .apk for the AIR for Andriod runtime? Im running FroYo (2.2). Also, does anyone know why it's not on the market anymore?

I tried to install AIR Runtime of the AIR SDK 4.5.0

c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder Burrito\sdks\4.5.0\runtimes\air\android\device\Runtime.apk  (5 920 682 bytes)

Installation failed with message "Application not installed"

Version Runtime_Device_Froyo_20100617.apk (6 658 244 bytes) downloaded from labs.adobe.com
was installed without problems on ViewPad

but AIR applications created with Adobe Flash Builder Burrito still not working

While same applications runs on Xperia X10 under Froyo

My father bought a viewsonic gtablet with 2.2 recently. I played with it briefly and noticed I couldn't find air or flash in the market. Also I think it was called "g market" or something which made me think it was heavily filtered, or a different market altogether.

"The same thing happens with any other AIR for Android applications I've downloaded today"

I guess that means you were able to find some air apps in the market. I was not able to, but again i only used it for all of 5 minutes.

I went to appbrain, and was going to download Air and flash from there, but i saw you had to sign up, and it wasn't my device, so i didn't. But perhaps you can do that?

Yes, the stock Viewsonic gTablet market is heavily filtered, it's actually a third party market, and it really sucks. However, I have actually re-installed the OS with TnT Lite 2.2, instead of the stock TnT 2.2. This allows me to view the full market (or at least I thought) and do everything a normal Android 2.2 device can do.

I also did look at AppBrain, I even signed up and installed the AppBrain market, but when I went to install AIR from there, it just redirected me back again to the market and said it couldn't be found there either.

Flash player wasn't supported on the stock OS either, but with the custom firmware I have it installed. However I have heard of people having a 85% market or something. So I'm going to try the market hack a few more times and see if anything changes.

On another forum I found an answer, I downloaded the AIR sdk on my computer and installed the runtime packaged with that. But i would still love to know why I couldn't fin it in my market, a few other people are having the same problem with the same device

It is still on market and should have been available for you (as Viewsonic gTablet has cortex A-9 processor, which is supported).

Can you please recheck if your device have Froyo installed?

Also try searching "Adobe" in market and see if it shows up any application (flash/air/reader)?

If it still causes problem for you, drop me a mail (syed@adobe.com).
