Concerned about AIR development path

Hi,

Just read that a big feature for the upcoming AIR version (22) will be a modernized video stack on Android and that "This is a large task and we know we've got additional work ahead of us."

I have used video in several projects and never had any problems with the current version. Is this really a big issue in AIR that has to be worked on? Wouldn't you rather see this work being used (for example) to support more platforms instead (such as AppleTV and HTML5 export)?
