Editing ANE's directly with notepad by unzipping

Can we manually change the minimumosversion in some ANEs made by ane developers to 9.0?

I tried this method- I converted .ane to .zip and we can see that this file -> /ANE/iPhone-ARM/platform.xml has this tag.

<option>-ios_version_min 8.0</option>

Can I manually change this to

<option>-ios_version_min 9.0</option>

Can I then convert the folder to zip. Rename to .ane

Will this process work?
