The error message chronically comes up today.

It does not matter what air file I attempt to install.

I have uninstalled, cleaned registry and all the usual things.

And then re-installed - with the same error messages

Windows 7. Updated current.

2.8 ghz processsor, 12 G Ram - a machine to cook breakfast and make the beds.

" The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author. "

Here is the latest install log -

I am not knowledgeable to know how to decipher what it means.

Might anyone have any insight?

Correct answer rqc2015

I had a reply on another support area.

And

Because I asked for help here -

I believe it is the kind thing to do to post the

steps that allowed me to correct it.

I knew that I had the latest Adobe air platform.

I felt that I knew that the download files were current.

So -

It was that the one suggestion that I had -

Told to disable the firewall and antivirus program.

Instinct made me unplug the machine from the router.

I continued and disabled all the protections that I had put into place -

and watched as the first air program installed -

Since before January.

And then brought those protections back on line.

And re-attached the router line.

It does seem to function now.
