ETA on iPhone 6 Plus Launch Image Fix for Universal App?

Hey all, does anyone know when a new AIR 15 Beta release will fix the broken launch image selection when working with a universal app? Or does anyone have a solid work-around for the time being?

Should we proceed by adding them manually through the UILaunchImages addition in the application.xml file?
