Flash CS 5.5 iOS support

I can not find any actual list of minimum supported hardware/software for the multiple iOS versions.

I'm trying to test an app across an array of iOS devices: iPhone 4, the latest iPod, iPad, and iPad 2 all work fine.

On a different iPod Touch, running iOS 4.1, I cannot get the app to install, and the only explanation I am given is that it is "not compatible with this iPod."

I have no idea why.  Does anyone know of a simple reference with minimum requirements for all of the devices which can be targeted from the compiler for Flash CS 5.5?  That would make my life easier, and it seems like it should be a no-brainer to have created, yet, I can not find anything like it.

Thank you

hi,

Please see similar thread:

http://forums.adobe.com/message/3779481

(the Flash CS* is authoring tool - the output version is based on your Adobe Air development tools and ADT version used by your Flash CS - so that is important what are Adobe Air version support on iOS - and then if your authoring tool supports it - and yes, it does).

Article mentioned in post can be found here (I don't know why link slipped out of post):
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/whats-new-in-air-26.html

Note that:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/891/cpsid_89107.html#main_AIR_runtime_system_requirements_

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/906/cpsid_90612.html#main_AIR_runtime_system_requirements

- there is one generation of iPod that slipped out from being supported and now only 4th generation is listed:

iPodTouch 4th generation iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4iPad

(iPad 2 is obviously supported). Only devices that support iOS v. 4.* are supported.

Peter

Hi and Thank you Peter.

I read your links and also finally found and consulted http://www.adobe.com/products/air/systemreqs/

It seems exactly as you said.  At least since I am using CS 5.5, and the AIR supported requires these devices.

Now I know how far back I can be compatible.

I appreciate it.
