Has anyone been able to make use of the campaign and referral tracking from G.Analytics for Android

There is only one question on this forum that talks about this topic and has not been answered for over 2 years now.

Can we have AIR Apps on Android track campaigns and referrals with Google Analytics (v2/v3)?

I have failed to create a native extension that can accept the campaign parameters from the Android Activity's Intent.

I believe, the campaign parameters are exposed in the Intent that launches the primary Activity (the app), however, when native functions are called they have their own Intent and Activity and they do not contain the campaign parameters.

It will be highly appretiated if we are able to crack this bit of a hurdel so that we can calculate ROI on promotions for apps.
