Hye,

I use a stageVideo player in my flex application for iOS.

All works well, but when I'm trying to make a loading bar to show the loading progression of the video, on the iphone, when I want get the netstream bytesLoaded variable, I always get zero whereas bytesTotal variable is correctly set.

Is it a bug from StageVideo Class using on mobile device?

Thank you for your help....

Hello poloop,

bytesLoaded property is not supported for the StageVideo ,so it will always return zero .

Thanks,

Nimisha

@Nimisha1, from my experience this is not true. I have tested this on an Android tablet (Motorola Xoom) and the StageVideo I play can obtain the bytesLoaded property.

However, I cannot get this property when testing on an iOS device. I have noticed that I can jump to the end of a very long video immediately after starting the video as if the video were streaming. The videos I am testing are the same ones I test on my Android tablet. On the Android tablet, the videos behave as if they were progressive downloads and on iOS, they behave as if they were streaming.

If videos are indeed streaming on iOS, then it would makes sense that the bytesLoaded property would be zero.
