How to get rid of the arrow in Kindle Fire?

Is there a way to hide the minimized options bar (the one with the arrow) at the bottom of Kindle Fire? Even though I check "Full Screen" in the Air for Android Settings, the bar is still visible.

Thanks.

When you're on full screen, that bar is about 20 pixels tall. When you're not on full screen, it's about 60 pixels tall. So, if it's thin and you only see a little arrow, then that's the best you can get. Unless you're one of the OS apps, in which case they can break the rules.

So, instead of 1024x600 I would use 1024x580. Correct?

If you're using a no scale stage, then yes. Also you have to make sure that none of your controls are so low that when the bar is raised the user can't operate the controls.
