How to include Launch Images in Flash CC

Probably an obvious one but how do you include/package IOS Launch Images in Flash CC.

My app mainly uses the timeline and includes external as files.

Do I add Launch Images via the Source or Library paths in Publishing Setting ?

or am I on the wrong track

I've tried a few things but there are not added.

Thanks

Pete

What kind of app are you making? If it's for iOS, you add the splash images in the General tab of AIR for iOS Settings. The splash screens are particular dimensions, and file names. You would also have a matching image in frame 1 of your timeline, if you want to seamlessly take over from the splash image.

If you're doing Android, there is no splash screen. If you have that matching image for iOS, in frame 1, then it will appear as the app opens.

For desktop AIR apps there is no splash screen, but here's an article that talks about a work around, where you set the app window to be off screen at first, and then you load the splash screen before moving the window back into view:

Thanks for the reply Colin. It is an IOS app, I already have the Android version working fine.

It is specifically the Launch Images that I needed to package. I have created them with the correct names, etc but I don't know how to package them. I'm using timeline coding (and external as file), not a Document Class - hence I don't have a src folder.

D'oh.... just looked at the IOS Setting (General) and add see that you can "include" files - never spotted that before.....

That should be it

Thanks again

Pete

Yes, so include the various splash screens there. You should be able to have just one of those on frame 1. Which one you use will depend on what stage scale mode you're using. For example, if you're using the default of "showall", on a 16:9 or 9:16 stage, you could use the iPad Retina version and set so that the width of the image fills the width of the stage, and the height goes off the top and bottom of the stage. That's for landscape, if it's a portrait app you would have the image height set to match the stage height, and the width would go off the left and right of the stage.
