How to open another program in Flash AIR for Android

I'm creating an adobe flash application for Android. I want this app to have a shortcut to open another apps, like open messages, or browser. But I completely have no idea how to do this. Any help or code snippets will be helpful. I'm really stuck here.

You must know another app URI Scheme and in AS3 jsut try to open it via navigateToUrl

try navigateToURL( new URLRequest("com.twitter.android") ); if you have twitter installed and let me know if this works

I think there is a problem with the url string

It's not that simple. You're just navigating to a web URL. You'll need to access the core OS function meaning you'll need an ANE of some sort.
