How to remove any little trace of all air apps, particularly on Mac OS ?

Hello,

Some Mac os X users report the could not install new release of an air application, because one is already present (according to error code in log).

Yet there is no air app in their Applications.

Is it possible to remove every trace of previous air app installation, in order to install the new release ?
