Question

How to simulate 1280 x 800 Android screen

I have had a reviewer say that my Android app does not work on Samsung Tab 2 10.1

"Hi, Unfortunately the app does not work correctly on my tablet. Half the screen is missing, cant see the button tray to choose buttons"

Looking up the spec it appears to be 1280 x 800 resolution.

Unfortunately I do not have an Android tablet with this resolution so wondered how best to to test for this resolution?

I am using Flash CS6 and Air 3.6

Thanks in advance

Here is a link to the app in question:

go to your local verizon store with a fake mustache and test the app.

It is working well on my Nexus 7 (1280x800 too) so it is not a problem of resolution

In flash builder there is a lot of simulated device, but i don't know in flash CS6

Thank you so much for testing Danakh. Now you come to mention it, my only testing device is a Nexus 7 which I did test the app on and it was fine. Apologies, I only bought the Nexus 7 for testing and have not used it since so didn't have to mind what resolution it was and assumed if the Samsung Tab 2 10.1 was 1280 x 800 then the Nexus 7 was smaller.

It is possible I have found the incorrect resolution data for the Samsung Tab 2 10.1. I will  have to ask Google again.

Thank you for testing.

They both have a resolution of 1280x800. However, the Samsung Tab has a DPI of 149 while the Nexus 7 has a DPI of 216. How are you doing your size calcs?
