Question

HTMLLoader Mac Retina Support

Adobe released Retina support for Air in 3.6 and that carried with it a caveat that HTMLLoader was not supported.

Are there any plans to support it at any point? Or maybe even update Webkit version thats bundled?

This is a serious limitation for me as I need access to the page that is being loaded to allow for comms betwee the app and page.

There are no plans for adding high dpi support into the built in Webkit that I know of.  However, I would recommend opening a new feature request over at bugbase.adobe.com or searching to see if a request already exists.  Once added, please make sure to post back with the bug number so that others can add their comments and votes.

Hi Chris,

This last week i have been searching and digging about this. I would appreciate any help.

My issue is:

I want to load an SWF through htmlLoader inside a Native window. My app is a desktop base and this right here works well on Windows. On Mac doesn't, just appear a white screen, but if i ran Scout i can see the traces of that SWF. Odd odd odd.

Right now i don't have a clue(read too many things) and the possibilities are:

Is this because is Macosx?

Is a problem of native Window?

Is this because of htmlloader?

SDK? (running 4.0)

Last, could be my code? :=)

The best.

Hi Joao,

Could you please open a new bug report on this over at https://bugbase.adobe.com?  When adding the bug, please include some sample code or a sample application so we can quickly test this out internally.  If you'd like to keep this private, feel free to email the attachment to me directly (ccampbel@adobe.com).

Once added, please post back with the URL and I'll follow up internally.

Thanks,

Chris
