Question

Installation from disks fails on new MacBook Pro (software too old??)

I just got a brand new MacBook Pro, and am loading software from the original disks. Started with my Flash disks (CS3), but put the disk in and got no installation options. Tried dragging the contents of the disk into my Apps folder and launching from there, but no response at all. So I'm just wondering if the software is too old to run on this machine... or if there is another solution. (This makes me leery of trying to install the rest of my Adobe software; it's still CS1!)

Oh, I'm sorry -- I think I'm in the wrong forum; just saw the Adobe AIR layer; I'd just looked for general Installation issues. Please point me in the right direction; is there a place for this sort of question??

Hi,

Sorry you're having install trouble.  I think your best bet would be this forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/creativesuites_macintosh
