Question

IO6 Issues

I have seen a couple of discussions here with people having issues related to the new ios update (ios 6).

Here are the issues I am experiencing since the ios update:

StageOrientation is not working consistently.

Camera is not rotating (could be to do with the stage orientation issue, still investigating)

Some urlLoader requests are not being sent properly, even though the event complete handler is fired.

Anyone else having issues similar to this, or any other issues?

I am not sure if what I have stated above are really issues as I am still investigating and debuging them all, however due to the fact that when I tested the same app on ios5 and it worked fine, it leads me to believe that some underlying functionalitry in ios6 may have changed, of which adobe air 3.4 does not yet cater for.

Thanks for your help,

Bobby

Auto rotation has drastically changed in iOS 6 SDK and we were working to get the required changes in the AIR Runtime.

However you should be facing orientation issues only when you package by pointing platformsdk switch to iOS 6.0 SDK. Apps built with 5.1 should run fine!

Hi Varun,

I have opened another discussion but it is related to this original post, more specifically the request taking long time to finish.  The issue wasnt the url loader in itself, it was the net connection taking a long time to close...

It seems to be an io6 issue...

Have you got any ideas?

Thanks,

I am having a severe issue with my app no longer running as it should in GPU mode.   The app runs perfect, quick, snappy on iOS5 at a solid 60 FPS .. in iOS6 it is running at like 5 FPS
