IOS 6 - NetConnection Close Issue

Hi All,

Has anyone noticed a slowdown in their app when attempting to close a netconnection... It seems to take a long time for it to be able to carry out the closing.  I was experiencing similar issues with adobe air 3.2/3.3  but on android device a few months ago.  It didnt seem to take much notice of the attempt to close the connection and caused the app to crash.

I am not seeing the app crashing, but whenever I attempt to close my net connection to the fms server the app freezes for a bit and takes a long time (10 seconds  instead of the usual 1 second) to carry on...

It is only happening on ios 6... It was working perfectly before i upgraded my ipad 3.  I have tested the same app on an Ipad1 (running ios5.1) and it works fine!!!

Makes me believe that there is something wrong with air and ios 6.

Anyone have any input on this?

Thanks,

Bobby

Our application freezes for about 10 seconds when attempting to close a connection; we opened a bug at adobe's bugbase: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3342439

Hi Damir,

I tried to reproduce this issue with AIR 3.4 but could not. The app did not freeze and also timer was working even after disconnect.

Since I could not connect to the server mentioned in your sample app, I tried this with an internal server.

Could you please grant access to your server, so that it may help us in reproducing the issue.

Thanks,

Krati

Make sure you use an iOS 6 device (not the emulator) and release build. The server in question is Adobe FMS 4.0, so I reckon any one will do.
