iOS app SLOW

My iOS app is slow. It was fine a few months ago.

A few things have changed since then. I have changed some code and iOS updated to 5.1.1

So it could be one of those 2 things. I tried to compile the app with a version of the code that was nearly when the app was working but the app would still be slow.

When I change the renderMode to "gpu" from "direct", the app works FINE and is no longer slow. The problem with running the app in "gpu" is that I play some videos (using stageVideo). So when i attempt to play the video on my iPad1, the app crashes. That was the behavior when the app was working a few months back but when I compiled with the renderMode set to "gpu" instead of "direct".

I am using the latest version of AIR - 3.5 beta.

Does anyone know if problems popped up when iOS updated? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the app run normally but allow it to play videos?

thanks in advance!

Jack

Sorry for the delayed response.  Are you still seeing this occur with our released version of AIR 3.5?  If so, and you haven't already, could you open a new bug report on this over at http://bugbase.adobe.com?  Once added, please let me know the bug number and I'll follow up internally with our iOS team.

Thanks,

Chris
