iOS app store approval reqs

Hi,

I'm finalizing an iPad only project which will be the first I try get through the Apple App Store approval process. I just wanted to check on what the current set of roadblocks might be.

This is the main issue I'm curious about:

Is app auto-rotation still an issue, as it seemed to be a few years ago? What does this mean in real terms - I found some posts saying I must support all 4 orientations (or at least support them for the launch image), but my app (which is a childrens comic authoring app) only works in landscape mode. Additionally, the AdMob extension I'm using doesn't support rotation, so I thought I could just lock it down (but when searching found out that might be an issue). I'm happy to switch to the MilkMan AdMob ANE if I need to, but I just thought I'd check what the word is before embarking on that.

Are there other common roadblocks I should know about - anyone keeping a list?

Thanks,

Kevin N.

You have to support both landscapes, you don’t have to support portrait. Just select Landscape in the AIR Publishing General tab, and select auto rotate. AIR will take care of everything for you.

Except that darn Admob banner. Are there any free ANEs for Admob which support auto rotate? I'll use MilkMan's ANE if not.

Thanks Colin!

Are you sure that the ad banner would fail? If need be you can disable rotation when the banner appears and enable it after it goes away.
