Question

iOS7 forcing portrait mode

Hi,

I updated to iOS7 on my iPad so tht I could test the functionality of an application that is currently deployed on iOS6.  The application is published with the Landscape aspect ratio, Auto orientation unchecked and standard resolution.  When I launch the App on iOS7 it wil only display in portrait mode.  Does anyone have an explanation/solution for this?

Best regards,

Chris McLaughlin

Not sure why it would be in Portrait, but you do want to have auto orients turned on. The Landscape setting prevents Portrait these days (it didn’t always), and you will have to support both variations of Landscape.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for your reply. I tried the settings you suggested and it is still

forcing portrait. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with High

Definition being required.

Best,

Chris
