Is Acrobat XI Incompatible with Yosemite?

I recently installed Mac OS Yosemite (10.10), and now Acrobat Pro XI is crashing. I tried installing an update to Acrobat (11.0.9) but this also failed, and the error message said to contact the manufacturer. Is there any help available for this, or knowledge about this problem for others?
