Is it possible to set pausesLocationUpdatesAutomatically to "NO" in IOS?

AIR supports UIBackgroundModes for location on IOS but is it possible to also specify not to have location updates suspended when the user is inactive for a short period of time?

IOS supports this feature however it doesn't seem configurable within AIR.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
