"iTunes MobileDevice library not found. Please check your iTunes installation" Error fix?

Has Adobe addressed this issue? I'm having this problem and I know a few others are too.

'iTunes MobileDevice library not found. Please check your iTunes installation'

This happens when selecting 'Install application on the connected iOS device' > 'Post Publishing' > 'Deployment' > 'AIR for iOS settings'

I reinstalled iTunes, downloaded the new AIR SDK 18.0.0.122. Doesn't work.

Flash CC

Windows 7

For me it worked:

- Unistalling completely Apple stuff.

- Install old version of iTunes

- Update to new version

Installing new version directly didn't work.

Can you Please do the following steps and let us know that whether your issue is fixed or not :

1) Un-install Apple Application support 32 bit/64 bit, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, and iTunes

2) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files and delete the Apple folder

3) C:\Program Files\Common Files and delete the Apple folder

4) Download and Re-install the latest version of itunes, Please make Sure that if you are using AIR SDK 18.0.0.122, then you should use latest version of iTunes for Windows i.e 12.1.2 for Windows 64 bit  Apple (India) - iTunes - Download iTunes Now

5) Restart your computer

Hope this helps.

No luck here. Installed the latest iTunes for Windows (12.1.2 64 bit), first storing the iTunes files in Program Files (x86)\Common Files\iTunes, testing with Flash Pro CC,  AIR SDK 18.0.0.122. Got error message.

Then uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling in Program Files\Common Files\iTunes (the default location), and testing again. Still, same error.

Hi,

The reason this is happening is most likely on 64 bit computers the main iTunes files are being stored in Program Files rather than Program( 86x ) files.

Flash is looking for the files in Program( 86x ) files and can't find it. The problem is the way the apple application is installed. The file locations matter.

So you can do the following steps:

a) uninstalled apple application support 32 and 64bit,  apple mobile device support and itunes

b) Install this version of Itunes, as it installs files in correct place.

iTunes 12.1.2 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)

As a workaround you can try this, meanwhile we are investigating this issue.
