Just purchased AcrobatX Pro on DVD and Can't install

Question

Upon installing the Installation disk a drop down box states my computer's system is not compatible along with a statement "your system has not been modified" My computer system does meet and exceed the Adobe stated requirements. What do I need to do to i nstall this software?
