Question

Lite version or In-app purchases for IOS - where to begin

Hi

I just launched a paid app for iPad ( IOS / Air 29) called Lagoona. It's a small game for kids (a kids' activity center).

I would like to give people the option to download a "trial" version / Lite version and hopefully they will buy the full version.

I'm considering two options:

-  to create at Lite version, with limited access (some areas and levels locked), that links to the full version in App Store.

-  to create a "free version" with some areas and level locked. And then have one in-app purchase that gives the user full access.

I think I prefer the in-app solution. I just don't know where to begin. I've looked at the In-app purchase ANEs by Milkman Games. Anyone who have experience with that?

Is there an up to date guide somewhere?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks.

Rolf

Yeah that or you can do your own as well, nothing about this is difficult but there are quite a few steps involved so I suggest once you follow a few tutorials just write down the steps somewhere and follow them each time to make sure you don't forget anything.

- step 1, set your itune in-app purchase(s) > follow tutorials about that

- step 2. add your ane to your app > follow ane instructions

- step 3. add the code in your app to deal with purchases > follow ane instructions
