make a connection beetwen 2 mobiles (iOS or Android) via WIFI

Hi,

my goal is to make to phones communicate permanely (like sockets) to each other via wifi (best if works on iOS via AS3). is it possible ?

i searched for previous discussion but didn't find any...

I wondering if there is any way to connect 2 idevices with as3


like in a simple game that send data one to another


if not, is there any free/cheap way to create a socket server so they can connect to it? if yes, how?


The big problem is that i used a host that dont let me configure the server or run .EXEs or .DLLs on it... so there is any way to create a php or asp socket server that starts when the idevice runs a page?


Any tutorial how to connect as3 with this server?
