I get the above error when trying to install my .ipa on my ios 8.1.1 iPad. However, on my ios 5.1.1 iPad it installs ok.This is an intermittent problem as it was installing ok on the ios 8.1.1 iPad. At some point it 'spontaneously' stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this?

I know this is a couple years old, but I just ran into a similar issue with Air for iOS in Animate, where having a folder called "contents" was causing a 'MissingBundleIdentifier" error, and this thread help me resolve that!

Ok. Removing a folder (that contains a .pdf and a .mp4) from the included files list fixes it. Bizarre.
