New AIR Beta from Adobe now available!

Great news!

New AIR Beta from Adobe is now available! But release notes are not very clear to me what are the new features or fixes.

Can someone provide more details about what is new with the new AIR release.

Also currently for me Adobe AIR is not usable when compiled to Windows because of GPU memory leak where only solution was to use -swf-version=37 to avoid AIR to use DirectX 11. More info can be found here: Memory is out (Windows) · Issue #38 · Gamua/Adobe-Runtime-Support · GitHub

Hope Adobe fix that bug with DirectX 11 on Windows.

Regards,
Caslav

Here's more detailed info from bug tracker:

With latest AIR SDK 32.0.0.141 with Windows devices StageVideo works fine but we still have some problems:

1) If you disable hardware decoder: NetStream::useHardwareDecoder = false H.264 videos doesn't shows.

2) H.264 videos doesn't shows with Stage3D VideoTexture

3) H.264 videos with resolution more than 4096 pixels by any side doesn't shows.

I confirm that with 32.0.0.141 VideoTexture on Desktop Windows still doesn't play (still didn't test on Mac).

To play VideoTexture on desktop latest working version is 32.0.0.89.

Build tool was updated to 28.0.3 (dx.jar) so now you need Java 8 to use it.

Also they did some stability fixes.

ADT shouldn’t compress raw/binary files when creating APK

ADT needs a mechanism to set the default target architecture

Building with new airglobal.swc file fails

air-sdk-description.xml isn’t updated

ADT -version should only print the version and not the copyright notice

Crash in AIR runtime on ARMv7 builds

ADT should use “armv8” for consistency

ADT doesn’t work with Java 8: dx tool failed

lol

he is asking about AIR 32.0.0.141, not AIR 33 BETA

chaky

the update is related to the audio/video playback enhancement
see AIR: Audio/Video playback enhancements
at the top of the release notes

True, I didn't see the Adobe SDK up to now.

So the correct changelog is the one posted from zwetan. No Android sdk update, no new built tools or anything.
