Orientation change problem on ICS

I've been testing my application on Ice Cream Sandwich for quite a long time now (Galaxy Nexus S, adt version is 3.1.0.4880). Everything seems to work quite well except one little annoying problem. The entire application flashes black when phone orientation is changed from landscape to portrait or back. The black screen is only visible for a fraction of a second and then the application is properly rotated. Does't seem to reproduce on iOS. Does anyone have the same problem? Any workarounds? Or maybe it is a known issue? Couldn't find anything through the search.
