package air bug

I have a mobile air project which i compile to a swf. When trying to package the swf using the ADT command i get an exception: Unable to run aapt  The ADT jar is in the SDK i've downloaded from adobe  I found this open bug on the subject https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-28995.  I've tried running it on ubuntu, red hat , 64bit and 32 bit - same error everytime.  I'm sure many people use linux machines to package their projects using the ADT tool . I just can't figure out what's wrong.  Thanks O.

Could you try packaging your app on Windows?  AIR for Linux support was dropped back last year with AIR 2.6 (we're on 3.4 now).

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

As far as i understood although support for running air on linux was dropped in AIR 2.6, packaging air on linux is still supported. In any case my build server is a linux server which i believe is a common use case.

Thanks,

Ofer

I took a look in our bug database and we had this reported back in June but the bug was closed due to "AIR SDK works only on Windows or Mac"
