Problem with Adobe Air application

Every time I try to open a certain app that uses Adobe Air, I get the message "This installation in this application is damaged. Please try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance." The app is not on the Adobe website. I downloaded it from a link on a website. I've tried re-installing both Air and the application several times. I installed a separate app of the Adobe website just to narrow down the problem and it opened just fine. So I don't think Air is the problem, but I'm not sure. I went to the logs folder for Air but I can't copy and paste so I'm not sure how to put it up here. I am on a Windows Vista. Thank you.

This error usually occurs when a beta version of the AIR runtime (or sdk) is involved.  My suggestion, and I apologize if you've already done this, would be to first uninstall both AIR and the application.  You might want to verify that the app is really uninstalled by checking for the app folder in program files.  Once they've been removed, install the latest AIR runtime from http://get.adobe.com/air and then install the application.  If it still fails, please post back with the application's url so I can give it a try on my system.

Thanks,

Chris

Unfortunately I tried your suggestion and the same thing is still happening. Here is the link to download the app: http://www.mediafire.com/?mo8tbmlwf9hoytr

The app will show up as a folder on Windows Explorer (if you have Windows, not sure about Mac). You will get to an unpatched folder (you have to extract all files) which is password protected and then you will get to the app (also have to extract) which is also password protected. The passwords are "mynameaborat" and then "borat".

Thanks for the link.  Unfortunately, you're going to want to get the actual installer for this app.  I suspect, due to the .dll's involved it's going to be a native installer (.exe) but it could also be a .air file.
