Problem with NetStatusEvents in AIR

Hi All,
   I'm creating a p2p application for iOS - and I'm getting the following problem

In the simulator or on my iPad the following events don't seem to be firing

NetGroup.Posting.Notify

NetGroup.Neighbor.Connect

These work fine when I test using a swf on my local machine

I'm using rmtp and adobe media server for the connections

Anyone have any idea what is wrong?
