Problems with delay in slides actually staring, and animination of PowerPoint working correctly

We have just recently purchased Captivate, and I am trying to complete the first of 5 training programs, but have reach a level of frustration. I am using a PowerPoint presentation I created, and opened it up in Captivate. I've then added audio tracks to most slides. So far so good. I have 2 problems. The first is that some slides do nothing after you click to advance. You see the thing moving across the bottom, but some slides start right away, and some take as much as 11 - 15 seconds before something happens. Don't know how to correct this. My bigger problem is that If I preview a slide, it looks perfect (just like it does in PowerPoint). However, when I preview the project, the animation is off. Sometimes it will come up on an addition click at the end of the slide, and then go into the next slide without another click. Don't know why it looks fine when I preview just the slide, but not when I preview the project. Would sure be nice if there was a phone number I could call and do a screen share with someone who could see what I am seeing. Any suggestions?
