Is anyone still having trouble with error 1056?  Please try the following:

  1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel .
  2. In the Control Panel window, under Programs , click Uninstall a program .
  3. In the Uninstall or change a program window, click to select AccuWeather.com Cirrus , and then click the Uninstall button. NOTE: If prompted for an administrator password or a User Account Control prompt is displayed, type the appropriate password, click Continue or click Yes .
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall process.
  5. Once the uninstall process is complete, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Control Panel window.
  6. Click the Start button, and then click Computer .
  7. In the Computer window, double-click Local Disk(C:) .
  8. In the Computer > Local Disk(C:) window, double-click the Programs Files (x86) folder.
  9. In the Computer > Local Disk(C:) > Programs Files (x86) window, click to highlight the AccuWeather.com Cirrus folder.
  10. With the AccuWeather.com Cirrus folder highlighted, on the menu bar, click Organize .
  11. On the Organize menu, click Delete .
  12. In the Computer > Local Disk(C:) > Programs Files (x86) window, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.
  13. Restart the computer. NOTE: At this point the AccuWeather software has been completely removed.
  14. Download and install the accuweather.com-cirrus-1.0.1.air software.

Thanks,

So I just got my sony Vaio and got the error also when I updated the Adobe Air and then Accuweather.com Cirrus froze. I closed it with the task manger and uninstalled the Updated Adobe Air and went to the recommended link http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html and reinstalled the Adobe Air 1.5.3 runtime and did not updated to the 2.0 and the Accuweather is working fine now.

Hi, could you provide the necessary screenshots and paste the install log if it occurs during AIR Runime installation?

For the install log location, please view this page http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/839/cpsid_83989.html

I solved it for Accuweather as it works with Adobe Air 1.5

uninstall latest version of Adobe Air by going to Control Panel - Uninstall a program

restart the computer

then download Adobe Air 1.5.3 runtime from this site

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html

install it.
