rename app on the store : possible or not

Question

Hi

for legal reson I have to rename app : not only the name that appear beside the icon on the phone but the app name on the store.

I upload new version and change the name in the descriptor file. But this appear to only change the name of app in the phone.

How to change the name in iTunes and the app store ?

the ultimate solution is to unpublish but I am looking for an alternative

Not all hope is lost. I had to change my Developer/Artist Name due to a similar name already existing no iTunes, I was contacted by the company that had a similar name and they sent me a cease and desist order so I contacted Apple, all through email, to have that changed, it took about 2 months with about 8 back and forth emails, super slow, but finally they got it done. Might be a less of an issue with an app name. So don't give up, email them and if you have time give it time.

thanks, I will try the human way, cause on this issue, I am in mail contact with someone I suppose to be a real human... And I wil ask them.

And when you upload a new version you can modifie tag and description but I didn't see any field where you can edit the name... but I will look a seconde time cause sometime you miss what 's in front of you
