Question

Should the ipa file contain the swf?

Hi all,

Just looking at one of my generated IPA files (rename to .zip and browse) -

The swf used to create the ipa is around 10MB, but the final ipa size is around 19MB.  Does this sound about right?

I notice that the ipa Payload folder contains (the two biggest files):

Academy (20MB compressed to 8MB, no extn - note 'Academy' is the name of the project)

fs_academy.swf (10MB compressed to 9MB - the swf file for the project)

Question: Are those two files required, or is the swf already part of that other file and it is included again for no reason?

Cheers,

Peter

Also remember when you compile for iOS you are forced to compile with Captive Runtime... meaning AIR is being included with your assets.

Yes the swf is included in the ipa. You only need the ipa.
